A UNIQUE PIANO SOUND

Sampled in amazing detail, THE GIANT is a unique instrument with extremely strong lows, crystal-clear highs, rich overtones, plenty of impact and a colossal sonic spectrum – from the devastating to the sublime.
This powerful sound is easily enhanced and modified to suit your productions. 40 carefully tuned presets provide production-ready starting points, while detailed control features allow you to precisely shape the sound in every dimension, making the instrument extremely versatile, no matter the project.

DARK ALTER EGO

THE GIANT is two instruments in one. Essentially a separate instrument alongside the main piano, the dark, cinematic Alter Ego offers an irresistible playground for sound design and dramatic effects. Create your own mix of unconventional, individually sampled sound sources – overtones, resonances, plucked strings, release sounds and special techniques such as piano strikes, hits, sweeps or scratches – all directly and instantly playable from the interface, delivering professional results with a fast workflow.
These avant-garde sounds are also enhanced with detailed control parameters and a dedicated convolution FX engine with over 100 special impulse responses of piano effects.

SIZE MATTERS – THE ORIGINAL PIANO

The original instrument is the Klavins Piano Model 370i. The “i” stands for integrated – this enormous piano is built into the wall of the room, effectively protecting the soundboard. At over three metres tall and weighing over two tons, the Klavins Piano Model 370i has a soundboard that is roughly twice the size of a typical 9-foot concert grand piano.

THE MAN BEHIND THE GIANT: ULI BARONOWSKI

This highly unusual instrument was painstakingly sampled by sound master Uli Baronowski of Galaxy Instruments.
Galaxy Instruments has created a number of virtual instruments, including the KONTAKT-based Galaxy piano line and the Galaxy X, a virtual instrument based on the same “convolution effect” technique used in the cinematic version of GIANT.
