Lush 2 is an update to a synthesizer, which in itself is an emulation on steroids of a 40-year-old synthesizer! Lush 2 is still an 8-layer synthesizer, but with a huge arpeggio section, more effects, reworked oscillators and filters, and additional controls for customization.

Now it’s more about how everything fits together, and how creative you can get with the synth.

That said, it’s very similar to the original in terms of the user interface, and the optional blue and red color changes still give it the look of an SH-101.

In use, it’s still very much a multi-timbral synth, too, with layers acting either independently as eight synths on different MIDI channels, or combining into massive sounds.

You can use global presets to mix the layers, and can easily choose which sounds go into each one, and in that respect it’s very much like an old Roland workstation.
