Balvi Cello was developed with a clear goal in mind: to provide a powerful and rich vibrato, as well as a legato capable of conveying all the nuances required by this musical aesthetic. To achieve this, the library offers various attack options and several legato durations, two types of legato transitions and, of course, a change in bow direction.

To avoid the phasing and blurring effects that can occur when crossfading between dynamic layers (especially for solo instruments), the Balvi Cello has been designed with a single dynamic layer system.

Combining different duration options, it offers a variety of performance options, allowing you to achieve the desired nuance and emotional depth in the music. Different legato attack and duration are activated depending on the velocity (0, 41, 91).

In addition to the standard legato transitions, the instrument also features a set of fast transitions within a major second, ideal for playing passages and musical phrases that require a higher playing speed.

The Balvi Cello also allows you to change bow direction, which is essential for the natural and musical shaping of melodic lines.

Three carefully recorded microphones are available in different positions, providing a clear sound and the flexibility to place the cello in the mix according to your preferences.
