For recording pianos, Neuman microphones were manufactured on special order. The characteristics of these microphones were adapted to the piano, taking into account the timbral and frequency characteristics. Microphones with maximum accuracy conveyed the luxurious sound of each instrument. Everything was recorded: the acoustics of the room, the resonance of the strings, the knock of hammers and even the rustle of the pedal.
