Breathy Subtone Sound
This library features the soulful and delicate playing of David Miltzow, a regular Ueberschall member whose credits include Mousse T., The Drapers and live work with the likes of Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach and Clyde Stubblefield. In this library, David’s playing focuses on the smooth, airy and calm phrasing of the tenor saxophone. Using a vintage Dolnet Series 2, the playing is inspired by Ben Webster and Lucky Thompson. These artists are known for their airy and breathy subtone sound, and it is perfectly captured here. The soulful performances are suitable for a wide range of musical contexts, including slow-tempo jazz, lounge, soul, house, RnB and soft pop.
Soulful Sax Phrases
The library contains over 800 MB of sample data, spread across nearly 450 individual loops and phrases, organized into 24 performance folders. Each phrase is between 1 and 4 bars long and is available dry, with no effects, EQ or compression applied. Phrases were originally played at tempos between 60 and 90 bpm and in a range of different keys. However, with Elastik’s superior time-stretching and pitch-shifting capabilities, phrases can be easily mixed and matched between folders or to suit the needs of an existing music project.
Adds Instant Character to Any Project
For any music producer or media composer looking to add some subtle, soulful and melodic saxophone to their latest project, the tenor saxophone is the perfect choice, delivering class in every note.
